Gozo - If you are looking for rest and peace in harmony with nature, you are exactly right on the small clear island of Gozo. In winter and spring a thick carpet of blossoming herbs and luscious flora covers the island. In summer oleanders, bougainvillea and geraniums stretch themselves against the sun. Small bays invite to sun bathing and swimming. The Jesuite Retreat House is a place of silence on the wonderful island of Gozo. Quiet yet central this oasis is on the outskirts of the town Victoria. Who also wants to get to know a little 'Land & Leute' next to his retreat is quick on foot in Victoria or can explore the island uncomplicated by public buses. Next to the ecclesiastical offers in the house there is also a library and an internet corner available.

Taking in guests

The retreat house understands itself as a holy place for retreats or restful, meditative stays. With its thirty guest rooms the house is a clear place with an informal atmosphere. Here spiritually interested people from all over the world meet. Some come here to do exercising retreats (with ecclesiastical guidance); others want to enjoy just restful, quiet days in a spiritual environment. Single travelers, pairs or also families can find accommodation in the retreat house.

Lodging & catering

The lodging occurs in cozy furnished single rooms or double rooms (also for single use). All rooms have their own shower/toilet.

In the retreat house all guests are supplied with half pension. Cooked are tasty Mediterranean dishes. Some of the vegetables come from the own vegetable and herb garden. For the meals local wine and mineral water is passed.

Guest care

Four priests live in the retreat house who stand to the guests with words and deeds aside. The language spoken is English, French or Italian. Retreats can be taken up with pleasure. There are three, five or eight day’s retreats. The guest meets once a day with the priest for a conversation and receives materials for praying. The guest can form the rest of the time freely. In addition every guest is warmly invited to take part in the services or turn to himself e.g. in the chapel or in the prayer space.
