| Benedictines - Rome |
Taking in guests In the monastery live about 20 Benedictine sisters from all over the world. Sister Pia, Sister Sophia and sister Luzia come from Germany and Switzerland. The guests are very warmly welcome to take part in the hourly prayers and listen to the chants. The sisters also offer ecclesiastical conversations, faithful to the motto: 'We are there, but we do not push forward'. What a sympathetic attitude! The guest house of the Benedictines is really conducted with a lot of heart and soul. Prayer times: • 6:15 Laudes • 7:00 Holy mass • 11:40 Midday prayers • 18:00 Vesper • 19:30 Laudes (not in summer) Lodging and catering The informal house includes more than 30 guest-rooms (single room and double room). The rooms are simply yet cozily set up and all have a private bath. The guests are catered with a tasty breakfast. Also dinner can be booked in the monastery. • Breakfast: 7:30 - 9:00 • Dinner: 19:00 There are several comfortable corners for sitting and relaxing. Also a television space, a big bookshelf with German-speaking books (religion, psychology, life help etc.) and an internet connection are accessible for free. The cloister disposes of several smaller prayer spaces and a church. Here everybody certainly finds a quiet little corner and who wants to, is also invited to sit in the beautiful garden of the sisters. The closing time of the monastery is 21:00 o'clock. Who stays away for longer receives the key for the night entrance.
